Haligdom

Haligdom
A state of holiness; a holy place, i.e. a sanctuary or chapel. The haligdom was the place where *AS kings kept their relics, of which they were great collectors. It was also where their important documents were kept. [< OldEngl. halig = holy + -dom = state or condition]
